WinSCP Version: v.ix.6 Portable GUI

Source Server: Windows 2008 R2 X64
Destination Server: Linux FTP/Web Server

Errors:
"Could non retrieve file data"
and
"The system cannot find the path specified"

Description:
I'thousand trying to upload a large amount of local data to the resources folder on an FTP server (99% PDF's).
The resource binder is empty to start with and then the awarding doesn't have to worry well-nigh analyzing what'southward already there, comparing, overwriting etc....
Anyhow I saw a fair number of the errors shown above and so I hit Skip all to get as much every bit I can up at that place for now.

In the case of: "The system cannot find the path specified"
I pasted the exact path from the log for 2 entries with this error into windows explorer and the file opened no problem.
I also tried manually verifying the path for one of the files and copied information technology with some other FTP plan and it worked fine.

Nevertheless I want to utilize WinSCP since I am developing a PowerShell script to automate this and transfer any updates daily.

Equally far as: "Could not retrieve file information"
I don't have a clue...
I know the path'due south are pretty long

For the hell of it I but downloaded the 5.ten.2 beta and try to transfer New and Updated Files but, got the same errors as 5.9.vi

• FTP.log (1.65 MB)

Description: The transfer was still in progress when I copied this. But the final file will be who knows how big and this includes some data

WinSCP does not back up long local paths with FTP protocol:

We are hoping to fix this in a near feature.

What'south the maximum length currently?

I'yard assuming the .net DLL packet has the same limitation?

Does the limitation only effect local paths or do I have to be concerned with the destination which is possibly longer? Since yous take hostname/public_html/resources which makes the destination path longer than the source.
